The value of Gentec... "in their words"

This month's, we hear from Gentec Management Advisory Board (MAB) member Bob Kemp as well as Gentec’s MAB Chair and Industry and Scientific Advisory Board Member David Andrews.

As head of a 5th generation AB cow/calf operation, David feels that a critical part of what he can give back to the industry is to ensure that beef producer sentiments feed directly into Gentec’s focus and influence which projects get pursued, and how, at the same time, he feels responsible for carrying results back to producers to ensure that they realize how powerful the genomics tools are in helping them achieve their production goals.

Similarly, Bob (whose “day job” is that of Partner and Vice President of Genetic Programs and R&D for Genesus (a Canadian-based international pork-breeding company)) says his company has a long and profitable history of working with Gentec across projects ranging from improving consumer pork quality to producer profitability.  He gives his time to Gentec partly due to the positive ROI it generates for the livestock industry, and to help make it the renowned world operation it can be.
