Gene editing series: What you haven't thought to ask yet
We started to look at gene editing and livestock in our April 2022 edition with a question from Kajal Devani: “In view of supply chain issues, labour shortages, food shortages, war and climate change… Are these products coming to market too soon or not soon enough? "
In this edition, we continue with two articles:
- Myths and Misconceptions. What will milk look like in the grocery store of the future? One vision says we’ll be seeing gene-edited milk on the shelves. We’re already seeing plenty of plant-based milk alternatives so what will be different for GE milk? Will improving animal welfare help? Read more here.
- We can do it... but should we? Is gene editing just science for the sake of science? Gentec CEO Graham Plastow weighs in. Read more here.
