INJAZ Lebanon hosts its 2014's annual appreciation lunch for Volunteers and Partners



On February 7th, INJAZ Lebanon organized its annual recognition event at Veer Boutique Hotel, Jounieh to honor its volunteers and partners for their continuous effort and support during 2014. 90 volunteers, 23 schools, 6 universities, 8 community partners and 22 corporate partners were honored with certificates and trophies in recognition of their outstanding support in allowing us to reach more children and youth in Lebanon. The appreciation lunch included a fun tombola with 10 lucky winners walking away with exciting gifts offered by Fattal holding, Veer Boutique Hotel and our event photographer Mr. Elie Samaha.

Coca-Cola Foundation and INJAZ Al-Arab celebrate Lebanon's ZOAP team winner of Ripples of Happiness Fall 2014



ZOAP team from LOYAC Lebanon was awarded with a USD 10,000 grant for winning the 1st place against 35 teams from 6 countries in the Ripples of Happiness regional competition - Fall 2014 sponsored by the Coca Cola Foundation. A celebration took place on March 12th  at the Metropolitan Hotel, Sin El fil with the presence of Mr. Antoine Tayyar, Director Public Affairs & Communication Coca- Cola Middle East and Mr. Akef Aqrabawi, Regional Director of INJAZ Al-Arab who handled the cheque to the winning students.
"Ripples of Happiness was more than a project. It touched me personally and taught me that many people are in need of help and every one of us can do something. The ladies we worked with were very excited and that made me value how much a simple action can make a huge difference" added Noor Harakeh, ZOAP student.

INJAZ Lebanon wins the BEST NGO/NPO award at the CSR Levant Summit 2015


INJAZ Lebanon won the award for the "Best NGO/NPO" during the CSR Levant Summit held in Beirut during April 15-17.
INJAZ Lebanon was awarded for its partnership model that engages the corporate sector with its education and community partners to bring employability and entrepreneurship education into classrooms, and for its program delivery model based on a sequential program approach that caters to several age groups.
INJAZ Lebanon also participated in the stakeholder engagement panel during this summit that took place at the ESA Business School in Beirut.

INJAZ Al-Arab's Annual MENA Training 2015



INJAZ Lebanon participated at the seventh Annual MENA Training (AMT) held by INJAZ Al-Arab in Abu Dhabi, UAE on May 5 and 6, 2015. Participants and attendees from 14 INJAZ member nations were provided with an opportunity to network together and share their best practices and ideas. Trainings included guest speakers from MetLife, Citi, H+K Strategies, McKinsey & Co., Meysan Partners, Deloitte & Touche, STAR Consulting, USAID and the Mowgli Foundation. This event was highlighted by a gala ceremony with the presence of HH Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan who participated in the awards distribution to some of the INJAZ member nations.

Empowering youth with Skills4Life

In January, 25 students aged 16 to 18 participated in the Leadership Weekend, during which they presented their innovative business ideas and competed in front of jury members including Ms. Nada Khorchid from ArabiaGIS, Mr. Mohammad Khattab from Gezairi Transport and Mr. Salim Karroum from First National Bank. Company Program 2015 with MetLife Alico


INJAZ Lebanon continues to instill the entrepreneurship spirit in Lebanon’s youth by launching its 9th annual edition of the Company Program 2015 with the sponsorship of MetLife Alico for this academic year. Around 160 secondary and university students have registered in the program forming a total of 9 young enterprises. Participating schools are from Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Tripoli. INJAZ also registered its first university team for this program thanks to its collaboration with UTOPIA Organization in Tripoli. All teams are being closely mentored by 13 corporate volunteers from our partners MetLife Alico, Gezairi, UTOPIA, 2GEM and several independent professionals. All companies came up with their business ideas and are now in the production phase preparing to sell to customers. These young entrepreneurs will be competing in September for the Best Student Company and several other awards.

Developing Social Entrepreneurship with Ripples of Happiness - Spring 2015


INJAZ Lebanon - Ripples of Happiness - Coca Cola FoundationSix teams have joined the spring 2015 edition of the Ripples of Happiness Program, developed by Coca-Cola Foundation and INJAZ Al-Arab to empower and train youth about community service and social entrepreneurship. Students teams represent the following universities and organizations: the American University of Science and Technology (AUST), the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), the American University of Technology (AUT), Al-Manar University of Tripoli (MUT), LOYAC organization in Beirut and UTOPIA organization in Tripoli. Teams are currently selecting and developing their ideas based on a community needs assessment and working on their action plan with the mentorship and guidance of corporate volunteers from Grant Thornton, UTOPIA and other independent professionals.

Planting entrepreneurial seeds through It’s My Business program sponsored by MasterCard


430 middle grade students participated in the It’s My Business program during spring 2015 across schools in Beirut, Mount-Lebanon and Tripoli. Thanks to the support of corporate volunteers from Aramex, MetLife Alico and MUBS University, we were able to introduce these students to key entrepreneurial skills and attitude such as identifying needs and business ideas, the importance of self-knowledge and teamwork while exploring their career choices.

Developing financially aware and responsible youth thanks to the HSBC sponsored program More than Money



We are proud of our continuous collaboration with HSBC Bank which allowed us to implement the More Than Money program across 7 schools in Lebanon, reaching out to around 370 students aged 11-12. Students enjoyed a series of sessions in which they learned basic money management skills and explored their career aspirations through business simulation games and group discussion with the help of corporate volunteers from HSBC, Aramex and other independent professionals.

INJAZ Lebanon partners with Ruwwad Al Tanmeya in Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen, Tripoli


INJAZ Lebanon delivered its programs for the first time in some conflict-prone areas of Tripoli, Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen in collaboration with Ruwwad Al Tanmeya. It’s My Business program sponsored by Master Card was delivered to 7 classes from 3 schools in Jabal Mohsen, around 140 children participated. “The students wait impatiently for the sessions and had never been excited about a material delivered at school like INJAZ program” Jabal Mohsen School Principle.

In May 2015, another 100 children will participate in the More than Money program sponsored by HSBC. “The program empowers and engages the older youths through Training of Trainers and sets them to be great role models for the adolescents they deliver the sessions to” said Ms. Reem Haj Ali, Child Development Officer at Ruwwad Al Tanmeya NGO.

Launch of INJAZ program at NGO SOS Children's Villages in collaboration with Bank Audi


 INJAZ Be a Leader program was delivered to 24 youth from SOS Children’s Villages for the first time with the support of Bank Audi corporate volunteers. “Leadership skills are very important to use in our school and with friends. We understood the information so fast through all the fun games (…)” Layale el Hajj and Antoinette Daoud from SOS Children’s Villages, Kfarhay, Lebanon. 
INJAZ Lebanon is very grateful to Bank Audi’s corporate volunteers for their strong dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm in guiding youth to learn about what it takes to become an effective and positive leader.
It was a real pleasure meeting with the youth of SOS Children’s Villages, very enthusiastic about new learning possibilities, always happy and eager to participate in all the games and discussions.

INJAZ signs a Memorendum of Understanding with Technica International and CNAM Bikfaya


Steer Your Career, a work readiness program for university level students will be delivered to selected mechanical students of the CNAM Bikfaya center during May-June 2015 by representatives from Technica’s human resources department. Technica International is a key employer of CNAM Bikfaya graduates since many years and both Technica and CNAM are keen to strengthen young graduates’ interpersonal and employability skills.

Be Entrepreneurial with Bank of New York Mellon


INJAZ Lebanon launched a new partnership with the Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM) that is sponsoring the delivery of a seven hours entrepreneurship and business planning program, Be Entrepreneurial. A total of 300 secondary students will participate in this program during spring and fall 2015 across Beirut, Mount Lebanon and Tripoli.

"Throughout the program I participated in today, I clearly learned a more in depth version of what i know about entrepreneurship. (...) I felt like I was dealing with very down-to-earth people who are experienced and clearly knowledgeable about everything brought up. As my future goal is to become an entrepreneur, I feel that INJAZ will give me a mind opener over all topics and fields of entrepreneurship" Rabie Rahawi, Student from Ahliyah School, 15 years old
