Dear Acis All Areas Subscriber

It’s been terrific for our team to meet so many of you at our Tax Events series which wrapped up in Melbourne recently. The seminar paper is now available for download here.

Some stories came up during Tax Events, which are of real concern in terms of the risks to which many owners, partners and managers are exposed. In part two of my article from last month’s Acis All Areas, I talk further about the grey areas presented by automated online document providers.

Another important conversation that needs to happen is with business partners heading into a new venture. The results of this discussion should be enshrined in a shareholders' agreement, which we know is often put off for time and cost reasons. We’ve put together some pointers that might help with that early conversation to get clients across the line.

Finally, we’ve got some comments about misunderstandings we encounter when we’re asked to prepare documentation for share buy backs.

The conversations you have with our team are vital in helping us to identify the issues impacting your firms, and enabling us to provide you with some intelligence to help you navigate these issues with your clients.  Keep the stories and queries coming our way.

Regards,
Matt
