What will New and Transfer Student Orientation (August 24-30) be like? 
First Year Mentor Stephanie Gargone shares the student perspective of what to expect from Orientation Week 2015! 
A full schedule of events is online and limited hard copies will be offered at Orientation Station.

New Parent and Family Orientation (August 24-26): Celebrate this inaugural occasion by attending sessions with your student as time and your schedule permits.  A gold icon in the online schedule indicates programs which are specifically designed for parents. Don’t forget to display the parking pass on the dashboard of your car! Please send questions to parents@pitt.edu.

Pitt’s Community and Governmental Relations Office strives to teach off-campus students to be good neighbors. A helpful tool is the Student Guide to Campus Life. It contains instructions for off-campus budgeting, students’ rights and responsibilities, and more. 

Resources for Fall Semester


Meal Plans: Planning meals is difficult enough for one week, let alone the next 15. Read how Pitt Dining Services is striving to help you and your student make selections for the fall. 

Military Family Resources: Military families should check out the Office of Veterans services for information on scholarships and other benefits at veterans.pitt.edu.

National Scholarships Advise: Does your student have educational aspirations beyond the classroom? Pitt can guide them to opportunities with few boundaries!
