The Amp turned two this week, happy birthday to us. The news does not stop, however, with Amazon reportedly entering the bidding war for 22 regional Fox sports channels. Disney has to sell the channels as a condition of acquiring additional Fox assets. Netflix has confirmed its plans for a lower-priced, mobile-only offer in select markets, starting with Malaysia and India. It also scored a multi-film deal with Paramount.

YouTube has begun including full movies on its standard service, while Discovery has partnered with Pluto TV to begin offering selected Discovery content through the ad-funded service.

A big merger in Australia is on the cards, with Fairfax Media shareholders agreeing to a combination with Nine Media; the two companies each have a 50% stake in Australian streaming platform Stan. In the UK, Sky has secured five year's worth of second-flight UK football from the EFL in a deal worth £595m, however many clubs believe it is undervaluing the league.

In Spain, Orange has partnered with Spanish movie SVoD player FlixOlé, adding its service to the Orange TV platform, while Mediapro has launched a Spanish-language eSports streaming platform.
