Winter is coming!

The days are warm but the nights are cold and it’s a sure sign that winter will soon be upon us. So stoke the fire, grab a wine and read on for all the latest from The Meat Room…

While we’re busy with some on-going building works at The Meat Room, we’ll be putting our Salami making classes on hold for the time being.

If you’ve got a hankering for some hand-made salami goodness, fear not! Just gather up a group of 10 people and James can make a house call! That’s right, you provide the participants and the place, and he’ll bring all the meat, equipment and plenty of porchetta for lunch.

Victorian Salami Festival


Spread the word and lock down your diary for October 6th. The Victorian Salami Festival is back for 2018.
A day filled with fun, laughter, salami demonstrations, live music, amazing food, awesome wine and, of course, Il Salame Perfetto (The Perfect Salami)! That’s right! The debate has been raging for centuries. Which region produces the finest Salami, the north or the south? You’ll have a front row seat as the battle continues and gorge yourself on the spoils of war, as you help decide on Il Salame Perfetto.

Euston’s Inaugral
The Great Murray River Salami Festival

Following hot the heels of the Victorian Salami Festival, Euston is holding its inaugural Great Murray River Salami Festival on October 13th 2018.

Held on the banks of the Murray River, this day of live music, food stalls and family fun, is sure to have something for everyone, especially salami lovers! You can even enter your homemade salami for a chance at Salami stardom in the Best Salami Competition. Oh, and you might just see a familiar face on the judging panel, as The Meat Room’s very own James Mele will be on hand as a guest judge. So get practicing!

Roll up those sleeves – and get making in 2018

Our sausage and salami making classes provide you with everything you need to know, and all the techniques to get you making your own sausages and salami like a pro!

Our classes have been steadily filling up, so make sure you book soon to secure your preferred class date! We still have some places on the following dates:

Sausage Making Classes
Enjoy a delicious morning tea, and a freshly-cooked wood fired pizza for lunch! Participants will also take home 4kgs of preservative free, free range pork sausages which are made on the day.
