The winter weather has well and truly arrived. As the rain buckets down, grab a glass of your favourite vino and settle in for the latest news direct from The Meat Room.

Truffle Melbourne Festival - THIS Saturday!
This year marks the 5th year that The Meat Room has been involved with the Truffle Melbourne Festival.

Celebrating the winter black truffle season, this is a free event, full of festivities involving truffle growers, truffle chefs, and gourmet food and beverage producers.

Why not head down to the Queen Victoria Market this weekend (16th and 17th June), with James demonstrating his salami-making prowess on Saturday at 1:30pm!

Salami Season has started

With Salami Season kicking off, it’s time to get your orders in!
Pork orders require at least a weeks’ notice, so make sure to get your order in early!
Don’t forget that The Meat Room can also supply you with all the necessary equipment available to order including Fillers, Mincers, Casings, Spices and more!

Sausage Making Classes

Our Sausage Making Classes continue to be popular, with most of the spaces snapped-up super quickly. We have a few spaces remaining for the following dates:

  • August 4th
  • August 11th

If you, or someone you love, has been looking to participate in a fun-filled class, where you’ll not only learn the skills to make sausages at home, but also get to take home 4kgs of delicious, preservative free, free-range pork sausages which are made on day, then make sure you book a spot.

We use free range pork, sourced from producers who breed heritage pigs outside, where they are free to roam & forage, ensuring great flavoured pork.

Classes run from 9am – 1pm. Cost: $200 per person, with morning tea & lunch included.
