Ok, what happened to 2018? It seems like only yesterday that we were gearing up for a massive year, and now here we are at the end of it!

Christmas is only a few short weeks away. If you’re busy getting ready for your Christmas and New Year celebrations and need some last-minute food or gift ideas, make sure you read on to find out where you can catch us before and after the New Year….

Christmas & New Year Hams and Meat orders

With Christmas Day quickly approaching, make sure you have placed your order for your ham, porchetta or any other meat you may be planning for your Christmas lunch!

And if you have started thinking about your New Year celebrations, pop your order in ASAP as pick-up will be on the 22nd, as we will be closed over the Christmas / New Year period.

We have a limited number of hams still available, with most already sold via pre-order, so don’t delay if you want to secure a delish ham for your celebrations.

Your Christmas / New Year meat order can be collected from TMR on Saturday, December 22, between 9am-1pm, or at another time by arrangement. We will also have salami available for purchase on December 22nd.

Christmas Gift Ideas

If you’re looking for something different for someone special as a Christmas Gift this year, how about providing your loved-one with a learning experience?

A Gift Voucher from The Meat Room might be just the thing! Our vouchers can be used Sausage Making Classes which kick off again in the New Year.

We can even personalise the gift vouchers for you. Orders for vouchers must be placed by Monday, December 19, to ensure delivery by Australia post in time for Christmas Day.


Markets prior to Christmas

You’ll find The Meat Room at the following markets during December:
  • Sunday, December 9th - Daylesford Sunday Farmers Market
  • Saturday, December 15th - Lancefield Farmers Market (note: the pre-Christmas market is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month)
  • Sunday, December 23rd - Eltham Farmers Market

TMR Christmas / New Year Hours

It’s time for us to take a break over the Christmas / New Year period.

We will be closed from December 24th ~ January 14th. So, make sure you place any orders as soon as possible and pick up on the 22nd December

2019 is almost here! And we already have some dates for your calendars.

  • The Prosecco Festival -  February 23
  • Lost Trades Fair, Kyneton - March 9 - 10
  • Melbourne Wine & Food Festival - March 17 (TBC)

Sausage Making Classes in 2019

Due to our commitments at Farmers Markets, and various events early in the year, we have limited Sausage Making Classes scheduled.
There are a couple of spots still available in the March 30 class, so if you are keen, get in quick to make sure you secure a spot to not only learn the skills to make sausages at home, but also take home 4kgs of delicious, preservative free, free-range pork sausages made on day.

Finally, a huge thank you must go to everyone who made this year possible. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response to our products and the support has been both phenomenally motivating and very much appreciated.
