Black Theatre Workshop & Tableau D'Hôte Theatre’s award-winning production of ANGÉLIQUE by Lorena Gale, recently enjoyed a successful run at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Critics raved about the show which, in 2017, received the Montreal English Theatre Award (META) for Outstanding PACT Production. The next leg of the tour starts TONIGHT, as ANGÉLIQUE begins a three-week run at Factory Theatre, in a co-presentation by both Factory Theatre and Obsidian Theatre. After thrilling audiences in both Montreal and Ottawa, we’re excited to finally bring this truly historic Canadian tale to audiences in Toronto!

"The title role is played with great emotional depth by Jenny Brizard, who has a luminous stage presence and undeniable grace to her physical expression, whether she’s pitching snowballs, scrubbing laundry or demonstrating the dance steps of her village."
