Time is running out to protect East Rosebud Creek!
The East Rosebud Wild and Scenic Rivers Act sits before both chambers of Congress, with unanimous support from all three members of Montana's delegation. But time is running out to pass the bill, as few days remain in this year’s Congress.
Please call Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) on his DC line at 202-225-0453 today! He is the chairman of the House Committee on Natural Resources and a potential roadblock to getting East Rosebud Creek protected as Montana's first Wild and Scenic River in 40 years!
Please take 30 seconds to say your name, hometown, and to ask Representative Bishop to pass the East Rosebud Wild and Scenic Act - It's important to Montana's economy and heritage.
East Rosebud Creek is one of Montana's most treasured rivers. Originating from the highest peaks in Montana in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, East Rosebud provides important habitat for fish and wildlife as well as recreation opportunities for locals and visitors alike.
Numerous hydropower dam proposals have threatened this watershed in recent years. Designating East Rosebud Creek under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act is the only way to permanently protect it in its free-flowing state. This bill has zero opposition, and almost 100% support from local landowners and stakeholders in the area.
