Holy Week 2016 note from Together for the Common Good

Dear Friends,

A little note from Together for the Common Good before Easter.

This Holy Week we're taking a break from news and meditating on how God calls us into the great story of love and relationship with others in mysterious ways, often subtly through the ordinary circumstances of our lives. This challenges us to live a common life with people who are different from us, and with whom we disagree, so we need to develop our capacity for compassion. Everyone is needed to join in the great participation, and in St Matthew’s case, Jesus literally walked right into his life: Caravaggio’s masterpiece, The Calling of Saint Matthew (above) captures the moment.
