Auto Focus & Depth of Field

We will be discussing auto focus, auto focus points & auto focus areas.  How and why they work and when to used which one.  This is not a camera specific discussion and will apply to all cameras.  One of the functions of focus is what is in apparent focus and we will be discussing that as well.  This is where depth of field comes into play.  Shooting will be indoors so a tripod is probably a good idea.

Lens is up to you.  I suggest you bring your manual so you can find out how to set things up on your camera.  If you bring a wide and telephoto lens you can see some of the differences in depth of field as it relates to focal length.

We are meeting in the church at 7:00 and most likely in the cafe at the north end of the church.  The end away from Lake Woodlands Drive.
