miniSIG Nikon Z Mirrorless
The "mini SIG" group of TWCC members using Nikon Z mirrorless cameras (Z50, Z6, Z7. etc.) are continuing to meet, both on Zoom and masked up and distanced in person. And this month they added their own private Facebook group.
Many of the 19 members join virtually monthly on Zoom to discuss camera settings, lens choices, and other useful information. In addition, small groups gather and shoot together locally, experimenting with lenses and composition.
If you are considering purchasing one of the Nikon mirrorless Z family cameras or know someone else who is, let them know. They’re willing to share their experience and knowledge to help with your decision. Several joined the SIG even before making their purchase.
Just e-mail: nikonz@thewoodlandscameraclub.org

miniSIG Canon R Mirrorless
More and more, photographers are changing from DSLR to EOS mirrorless cameras. The Canon R SIG is a new and growing group of 8 now, already with its own private Facebook page!
Why do we all love the mirrorless? Well, we can give you a long list of reasons, but basically, it’s FUN to take pictures! The focusing is spot-on, and the ability to change lighting right then-and-there while you are seeing exactly what you are photographing are just two of the many great reasons.
If YOU are interested in learning more about this group or the Canon EOS cameras, please send an email to CanonR@thewoodlandscameraclub.org. We’d love to hear from you!

Mentor Program
Each month many TWCC members share their knowledge and time both informally and formally as “mentors” to other club members. It may be by e-mail, phone, or even in person at different locations around The Woodlands.
Learning from a friend or neighbor is one of the best experiences in a club like ours. To see who’s available to help you grow your photo skills visit
http://www.thewoodlandscameraclub.org/resources.html
and click the link for mentors and their specialities.
To add yourself to this program, please contact Andy Howard at mentor@TheWoodlandsCameraClub.org

Our Purpose
is to bring together people interested in exploring the wonder of God’s creation through the lens of a camera. Members of all ages encourage one another and share their efforts to record nature, travels, people and memories. Anyone is welcome to join this club. We are here to teach one another through enjoyable activities and meetings, to make new friendships through a common interest, to support The Woodlands United Methodist Church through our photography, and to glorify God through it all.

As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Isaiah 55:10-11 and John 1:14
