Kathy Adams Clark – Photo Critique

Speaker at the monthly club meeting on December, 2nd 2019
What does a professional photographer think about your photos? During this program, Kathy Adams Clark will look at photos from the Composition (the Fine Art of Seeing) SIG for the first time and offer her critique. Kathy’s critique will be based on her 25-years as a working photographer and teacher. Listen to her comments to learn how to improve your own photography. This will be fast-paced and fun.
Photography has been Kathy's passion since she was a child. As a young adult she morphed into a full-fledge naturalist. Mentors taught her the names of the birds, butterflies, flowers, trees, and dragonflies. Today she shares this knowledge through her photography. Her photos have appeared in hundreds of magazines and seven book projects. Leisure Learning is a Houston legend and she's proud to offer 23 different photography classes at two different locations. Her workshops are offered in a variety of locations both within the States and internationally. Several of these trips are co-led with her husband Gary Clark. Her company, KAC Productions, licenses her photos as well as the images of 15 other talented photographers, and her office is run by a cat.

Photography With A Purpose

During the next few months we will be introducing our newest TWCC activity, Photography With A Purpose, our volunteer photographer program. It is being completely redesigned and reorganized to help our volunteer photographers have fun, learn new skills, practice those skills and take photos that have a purpose – to serve our club sponsor. Stay tuned for more details at the December meeting, in future newsletters, and on our website.

To start, we’re asking all paid club members when they renew for 2020 to indicate if they want to receive e-mails about this program and opportunities to be a volunteer photographer. If you are interested, when you renew circle "Yes" to join this team and participate. Or send a note to and let us know you want to be included. We have three opportunities coming up even as we are organizing our team. If you’re interested in being a volunteer photographer at any of these and want to learn more details send a note to the same address above.
  • The TWUMC Choir Christmas Program December 14 or 15 at 6:30 PM
  • The Men’s Chorus Performance December 7 at 7:00 PM

Mentor Program

Each month many TWCC members share their knowledge and time both informally and formally as “mentors” to other club members. It may be by e-mail, phone, or even in person at different locations around The Woodlands.

Learning from a friend or neighbor is one of the best experiences in a club like ours. To see who’s available to help you grow your photo skills visit

The Woodlands United Methodist Church
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.
Isaiah 9: 6-7
