Heide wins Excellence Award in Volunteer Management
Today, International Volunteer Managers' Day, Volunteering Victoria announced the winners of its inaugural State Awards held at State Parliament House. Victoria’s first State Volunteering Awards showcases the commitment, diversity and impact of Victoria’s volunteer managers, volunteering programs and volunteer-involving organisations.
The Heide Museum of Modern Art Volunteer Management Team received the EXCELLENCE AWARD for best management practice and delivery of programs by volunteers. With nearly 200 volunteers working across Visitor Services, Public Programs, Education, Collection and Gardens, they play a vital role at Heide by interacting and engaging with visitors across the Museum and the community it serves.
Of the award, Heide Director & CEO, Kirsty Grant, stated "I am delighted to accept this award which represents the hard work and dedication not only of our exceptional volunteer management team, but also the many volunteers that contribute so much to Heide."
