ERA HDHL Cofunded Call Biomarkers in Nutrition and Health

The JPI HDHL - together with the European Commission - is going to launch a new joint transnational call for research proposals: "Biomarkers for Nutrition and Health (BioNH)“ using the ERA-NET Cofund instrument. The transnational call will focus on the “development and validation of biomarkers for nutrition and health, including nutritional intake, nutritional status, physical activity-related health, diet-related health and risk of developing diet-related diseases”. Joint Call “Intestinal Microbiomics”: 6 research consortia encompassing 20 research groups worldwide recommended for funding

Within the JPI HDHL Joint Action "Intestinal Microbiomics", six projects will be funded. The projects focus on to increase knowledge on the effects of diet, on human intestinal microbiota and the impact of diet-related variations in the intestinal microbiota on human health and/or the development of non-communicable chronic diseases.

Joint Call “Food Processing for Health”: 2 research consortia encompassing 12 research groups selected for funding

Two transnational research consortia including 12 research groups from 7 European countries have been selected for funding under the umbrella of the JPI HDHL Joint Call "Food Processing for Health". Projects will focus on a broad range of research questions, looking at developing innovative or optimizing value-added processing of food substrates (fish, milk, cereals,meat) to produce safe, healthy, high organoleptic quality and sustainable products. MaNuEL, the Knowledge Hub on Malnutrition in the Elderly

The Joint Action ‘Malnutrition in the Elderly Knowledge Hub’ resulted in the Knowledge Hub MaNuEL, which brings together research groups from 7 countries. The researchers will work together to build better research capacity on Malnutrion in the Elderly across Europe.

The Knowledge HUB DEDIPAC - Determinants of diet and physical activity– a Joint Action launched by JPI HDHLpublished an article in BMC Public Health. The article titled ‘implementation conditions for diet and physical activity interventions and policies: an umbrella review.
