Benefits of Living on a Lake
They say that people who live close to the water are happier and healthier all around. Why is that? There are several different reasons as to why this is.
  • The View: The views on a lake or any body of water are breathtaking. Nothing can compare to what you see while sitting on your deck looking out on the water. The sunrises and sunsets look best over the water. We believe relaxing and looking at something beautiful can serve as a great stress reliever.
  • Activities Never End: If you've ever heard someone say they were bored at the lake you probably thought they were crazy. Swimming, wakeboarding, boating, jet-skiing, skiing, fishing, kayaking, and tubing are only some of the activities you can do on the lake. There is never a dull moment at the lake!
  • Increased White Blood Cell Count: Typically there are more trees and plants near the water which give out phytoncides. Breathing this in helps increase your white blood cell count. Increased white blood cell count  helps fight off illness and infections.
These benefits of living near the water are just some of the reasons you should buy that lake house!

The Easiest Way to Park Your Jet Ski

Have you ever seen a sad person on a jet ski? Us either! When you are out having the time of your life on your jet ski this summer, there will come a time at the end of the day where you will need to park your jet ski.

PWC ports, canopies, and other accessories are the perfect way to protect your jet ski. When you spend a day on the water, the last thing you want to do is spend more time than you have to park your jet ski. The ShorePort by ShoreMaster and the SLX Wave Port by Hewitt are two drive-on jet ski ports that make parking your jet ski a breeze.

Maintenance Free
The ShorePort and SLX Wave Port are so easy to own as they are hassle-free. The modular design of both these PWC ports make it so there is little to no maintenance. They are lightweight, durable, and stable to store your jet ski.

Features
These PWC ports feature a textured, slip-resistant surface so you feel safe when you get off after parking your jet ski. The tie downs to ensure your jet ski does not fall off the port are very easy to use. The wheels/rollers make it easy to load and launch your jet ski.

Capacity
The ShorePort has a capacity of 1,150 pounds and goes up to a 1,450 pound capacity. It's well-built and easy to use, making it a great investment for anyone who owns a jet ski. The SLX Wave Port has a weight capacity of 1,500 pounds and goes up to a 2,000 pound capacity. The Wave Port is safe, easy, and the perfect way to store your jet ski.

Whichever PWC port you choose we know you will never look back. Cranking that wheel on a jet ski lift is overrated, the PWC ports save you the trouble!

How to Keep Birds Out Of Your Canopy

Birds are fun to watch, except when they keep swooping down into your canopy, building nests, and sitting around in your boat more than you do. They are difficult to keep away, but there are some special tricks you can try to make it so they don't keep coming back.
  • Reflective Devices: Hanging reflective devices from your canopy will keep birds from coming in your canopy. The reflective devices will disrupt their vision when the sunlight hits them. You can use things like CD's for this. Be sure to hang them with enough slack so they can move in the wind for the sunlight to hit them.
  • Roof Deterrents: Roof deterrents are designed to scare birds away so they do not even think about coming near the canopy. Long thin metallic arms stick out, move in the wind, and reflect sunlight. These long arms looks like something is reaching out from the canopy which keeps the birds from coming near it
Keeping the birds away from your boat can be a task. If you happen to find a nest in your canopy, you may need to call animal control to remove it for you so you do not cause damage to the nest itself or the eggs.
