Ian and Valerie grew up in Southern Alberta, spent 10 years pastoring in Medicine Hat, and have lived nearly 4 years in one of Canada’s fastest growing cities as they spearhead Church of the Rock Calgary.

The Byrds have a passion to help people grow and succeed as families. In a down-to-earth, straightforward, and sometimes humorous manner, they share both their parenting successes and failures – whatever will assist others in raising their kids!

For Valerie, some of this insight was gleaned in the past 19 years as she homeschooled their four boys – a season concluding this June when their youngest son, Lyndon, graduates.

Ian and Val look forward to connecting and sharing with the good people of Cranbrook!

Sarah and her husband, Alex are the parents of four of their best friends. Their children range in age from 9 to 15 years old and so far seem to be turning out pretty alright. Sarah has been a stay-at-home mom, home-based childcare provider, labor and delivery coach, child and youth worker, foster parent and is now employed with Young Life of Canada working with teens.
She is passionate about family and supporting parents in having strong healthy relationships with their kids while nurturing them to become healthy, happy, productive adults.
