Neighborhood Spotlight:  Snyders Mill

Snyders Mill Neighborhood
Park City's Snyders Mill neighborhood was named after Mormon pioneer Samuel Comstock Snyder and his family. The desirable mountain meadow now known as Snyderville Basin was not overlooked by Snyder when he passed by it on route to the Great Salt Lake Valley in 1847. It was described as being "plentiful in grass, watered as Eden and sufficiently timbered to supply hundreds of families."  In 1850 Snyder and his wife Henrietta became the first of the settlers to the area.

In 1853, Samuel built the first sawmill in the area, at the present site of the Snyder's Mill subdivision. The water-powered mill harnessed the power of the White Pine, Red Pine, and Willow Creeks. This community is still deemed a desirable area with its tranquil feel, gently curved, meandering streets, maturing foliage and a peaceful stream running through some backyards. Development Updates

Significant news from City Hall this week -- With the voters in the Fall approving the $25 million dollar bond, the city moved forward with its plan to acquire the Bonanza Flats area parcel.

Park Record, Jan. 11, 2017
City Hall has reached an agreement to acquire Bonanza Flats in a $38 million deal that will be one of the municipal government’s crowning conservation purchases. read more.
Mayflower, the last large-scale development opportunity in the area, is predicted to be Deer Valley's next major push. Should see development starting in the next couple years. The plan to build underground parking at the Snow Park Lodge will wait.  It's not expected to happen for at least another 5 years now.

Tips for Smooth Financing

Something I like about New American Funding is they have a number of niche programs (financing options) that are not being offered by all lenders. I'm finding they really clunk in nicely for some of our clients. Tom Ward
