Falling Fast into Winter! 
 
Snow in September AND a first place award from Ski Magazine! Yep. It's true. Yet, neither really comes as a surprise to Park City locals. Fall temperatures are slowly returning and the blanket of snow atop the autumn leaves only adds to the beauty of this short but vibrant season!  As far as first place for Deer Valley Resort this isn't the first time, and we're sure it won't be the last. Hopefully this early snowfall is a harbinger of things to come!!

DEER VALLEY RESORT IS NUMBER ONE!  
Best in the West 2018  Ski Magazine Awards

As you may have already heard, Deer Valley Resort is to be acquired by a newly formed resort company and joined with Intrawest, Mammoth Resorts, and Squaw Valley Ski Holdings. The newly formed entity is controlled by affiliates of KSL Capital Partners, LLC and Henry Crown and Company, two successful companies with a lot of experience. The transaction is anticipated to close prior to the upcoming 2017-18 ski season, but Deer Valley will continue to honor the existing pass products that are currently on sale. We plan to see positive changes as a result and we don't expect much to change this year.  We are excited about the acquisition and look forward to Deer Valley Resort continuing to build upon its outstanding traditions!

THIRD QUARTER STATS AND NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATES



A quick look at 3rd Quarter stats shows inventory levels about the same as where they were mid-year, and number of sales also about the same. We are in the sixth year of market recovery.  Park City has seen really good price appreciation over this time. The supply (which in many areas remains low) and demand (buyer's are still active and interested) remains steady. 
 
Keep in mind our market is very segmented and diverse. While market trends can be similar throughout the area, analysis shows distinct performance differences between locations and price ranges. Please let me know if you have specific questions on certain areas of our greater Park City real estate market! We compile quarterly market updates by neighborhood.
