The Greatest Snow on Earth!

Utah officials weren't exaggerating when they came up with the slogan for the state - this winter's snowfall has been incredible and it is still snowing! Park City reported 50" in the last seven days. We'll be honest, we have spent as much time analyzing the snowfall (and snow removal) as we have been crunching stats for year-end. Our year-end stats, in this newsletter, compare 2016 to 2015 and we have seen an increase in sales volume. Please let me know if you have specific questions on certain areas of our greater Park City real estate market.

END OF YEAR STATS AND
NEW MARKET REPORT

TIPS FOR SMOOTH FINANCING
Something I like about New American Funding is they have a number of niche programs (financing options) that are not being offered by all lenders. I'm finding they really clunk in nicely for some of our clients.  Tom Ward

Make sure nothing gets in the way of achieving your home financing goals. Some DON'Ts may seem obvious, but others not so much. CHeck out this list to make sure you avoid the Top 10 DONT's during the process of buying or refinancing. Tips Here

GET OUT OF TOWN!

The Heber Valley has been more popular with buyers that are looking for "more bang for their buck". To view Heber Valley year-end stats for 2016 click here. One of our favorite things to do in this winter wonderland is visit the Midway Ice Castles at the Homestead Resort. They are beautiful!  It's a huge space with ice formations that light up -- a real piece of art!

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!

Park City is a community where open space is not taken for granted. Many conservation groups such as Utah Open Lands, work diligently to preserve nature, views and wildlife from development. One of the reasons we love living here is all of the open space!  Bonanza Flats, 1,350 acres near Guardsman's Pass may be acquired by the town of Park City for $38M if they can meet additional funding goals. AVOCADO TOAST, ANYONE?

There are more new restaurants in town to try, starting with Five5eeds and Harvest, two new breakfast and lunch spots that serve Australian fare with a twist. Our new favorite spots on Main Street are Firewood, Church and Riverhorse Provisions AND you have to see the new renovations at The Spur! Let us know what you think of the new spots and for a complete round-up of new restaurants check out this recent article. Bon appetit!
