*** There are always winners and losers in sport. Our senior hurlers have given us more than most clubs could ever dream of but last Sunday the magical run that included three Dublin titles, two Leinster and two All Ireland's came to an end, for now. There is a great anonymous appreciation of what the last few years have been like on the website. Worth a read...
*** Hard luck also to our Adult Camogie team who went down in their first foray into the Leinster Championship but not without a great fight, at the end of a magnificent season.
*** Our Intermediate and Junior B Hurlers both won at the weekend to set up County Finals of their own in the coming weeks. Remarkably both sides won by an identical minimum scoreline of 1-17 to 2-13. There is a strong pipeline coming through.
*** We are back in Parnell Park this Sunday when our Senior Footballers take on Thomas Davis in the Semi Final of the Senior 2 Championship. It will be a tough game but the lads are in great form. Throw in is at 2-15pm
*** Heartbreak for our Minor Footballers last weekend. The A's went out to Whitehall Colmcilles in their A Championship semi-final. Leading by a point seven minutes into injury time, Whitehall somehow conjured a goal to win by the slimmest of margins. The B's also went down at the same stage. Shame for the lads but a great season.
*** Our Junior Footballers are at home to Garda on Sunday in the Semi Final of their Championship. If you can't make it to Parnell Park make sure you do the shorter journey to Hyde Park for a 3 PM thrown in. Seanie McMahon and Paul Cahill will be on the sideline and looking for loud support...
