Your Support Can Help Mercy Education Project win $100,000!

We're really excited to let you know that Mercy Education Project is part of the Art Van Charity Challenge. It's a fundraising campaign launched by Art Van Furniture benefiting many wonderful organizations – including MEP!

It starts on May 18th at 12pm ET and a total of $300,000 will be given away to organizations featured in the Challenge. The organization that raises the most will receive a $100,000 grant. There are 2nd through 10th place winners as well. Mercy Education Project is shooting to win the $100,000 grand prize grant.

How You Can Help
As passionate supporters of MEP, your support means everything to the success of this charity challenge.  Donating is great, but if you can also spread the word to your entire network, the potential for raising more money increases drastically.

All you have to do is forward this link to everyone you know who might be willing to give to help Mercy Education Project win one of the Challenge grants.  Tell them a personal story about your experience with Mercy Education Project – let them know the impact that even a small gift can make. There is power in our combined giving – many small gifts can add up to help change the course of history for an at-risk girl or disadvantaged woman who right now sees no hope for bettering her future.

Every bit makes a difference, no matter how big or small.

On Friday, May 6th, 8th through 12th grade youth tutoring participants attended "A Night for the P.E.A.R.L.S (Poised Educated and Responsible Leaders Society)" sponsored by the MotorCity Casino Hotel Helping Hands Committee.

The girls spent the evening learning about important topics such as "flowing in your purpose", "healthy relationships"  and appropriate business attire for future interviews and jobs. At the end of the night, the girls went home with an extensive program and gift bag to help them remember all the skills they learned.
