Twenty-Eighth Week in Ordinary Time

“ I do not want to change the prayer by which you honor me: by this petition, I want rather to shake humanity. This is not a new prayer formula; it must be a constant supplication.”
October 1962  (First Edition of the Spiritual Diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann)

THOUGHTS ON THE FLAME OF LOVE...
The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is:

  • First and foremost - Jesus Christ Himself.
  • The outpouring of graces so great as have not happened on earth since the Word became Flesh (Diary 2/23/1964)
  • The Cause of the Blessed Mother’s heart, which she begs to be spread to all with our one, small step of prayer, adoration, sacrifice, and under her protection.
  • The “Signal grace” which points us to the way which has been given us for this specific time in history.

Mary’s Flame of Love Promises are:
  • To blind Satan
  • To save souls
  • To change hearts
  • The save the family
  • To free souls from Purgatory
  • To convert the world

The Movement itself is a result of interior inspirations and spiritual experiences of a woman from Hungary named Elizabeth Kindelmann (1913-1985), who recorded their requests in her Diary, The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (Approval of the Catholic Church,  Péter Cardinal Erdő, Primate of Hungary, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, Imprimatur Charles Chaput,  Archbishop Emeritus of Philadelphia.)

Mary has said: “This is the miracle becoming the blaze whose dazzling light will blind Satan. This is the fire of love of union which I obtained from the Heavenly Father through the merits of the wounds of my Divine Son.”

The Canticle of Zechariah, prayed every day in Liturgical Morning Prayers, foretells Mary’s aspect when it says:  "In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of Peace."

The Blessed Mother’s Litany calls her “The Morning Star”, the “Refuge of Sinners” the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary”.

Mary is the promised “Morning Star”, holding the Flame of Love in her Heart, which burns and shines to all, promising to blind Satan, promising to be our sure refuge.

The Flame of Love is that moment when her grace inspires our prayers of reparation to the Heart of her Son, the Fount of Love and Mercy.  Mary, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us!

The Flame of Love is the Change of Hearts witnessed by our Rosary Teams, praying the Rosary with the Flame of Love Petition outside abortion clinics, who witnessed women turning away from the building, realizing in an instant, the evil inside. Mary, Queen of the Rosary, pray for us!

The Flame of Love is the one heartbreakingly simple sentence reply of a prison chaplain who was grateful for prayer books sent to his facility.  “Thank you for caring.”  It is Our Lady who cares, who asks at Medjugorje for confession and reconciliation – who brought her tender heart to men struggling to find hope and peace in isolation. Mary, Comforter of the Afflicted, pray for us!

The Flame of Love is the gentle stream of quiet love – one heart to another, which becomes, thru the enormous power of God’s grace, the flood of Jesus’ Heart over all of humanity, leaving us never alone, never isolated, never forgotten.

In the Flame of Love Diary, the Blessed Mother asks us to pray the Rosary daily, to fast on bread and water on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, to pray in Eucharistic Adoration, to have simplicity of life and dedication to prayer, frequently to receive Confession and Holy Communion.

No matter how big or small your efforts may be in keeping to these requests, Mary will take whatever you are able to give, and Jesus will multiply it over thousands of times in power and effect, as He did with the miracle of the loaves and fishes.  He knows the sincerity of your heart, and He receives your gifts, not matter how big or small, with great gratitude and love.

Mary’s heart is now our Noah’s Ark – our sure refuge, our hope, our Mother.
Mary, Ark of the Covenant, pray for us!

Conquering the Culture War;
The Triumph of Mary's Immaculate Heart
A continuous and powerful stream of graces flowed over the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, Wisconsin, this past weekend, imparting joyful hope and helpful insights on how to navigate these confusing and dark times. Fr. Jim Blount, Jesse Romero, Dr. Lisa Lingner, Fr. Cliff Ermatinger, Fr. Dan Schuster, and Damon Owens, blessed nearly 350 live and virtual attendees with their amazing teaching.

During the course of the three-day Conference, attendees learned about spiritual warfare, tips on how to strengthen one’s interior life, the Teresian method of prayer, clarifying insights into gender confusion, the Flame of love present in the lives of the saints and their writings, and so, so much more!
In addition to excellent teaching, there was an evening candlelight Rosary procession to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Peshtigo Fire Rosary Miracle and all night Adoration. A prayer service that included the presence of St. Padre Pio’s robe and continuous Rosaries, brought grace, healing & consolation to all. Throughout the weekend, beautiful music by Stephen Fernung inspired peace and praises to God, and Bishop Ricken’s homily at the Mass commemorating the apparitions of Our Lady of Good Help, highlighted and proclaimed Our Blessed Mother’s maternal help for these times and the great gift of the Flame of Love.
