Carriage House at Waverly Place is an elegant statement venue in the heart of Greenwich Village. Constructed in 1826, the Carriage House was the former residence of notable playwright Lorraine Hansberry (A Raisin in the Sun) and a hub for artists and thought leaders in the 1960’s, including Nina Simone, James Baldwin, Lena Horne, and Harry Belafonte. Later in the 1990’s, it was the home of Kate Moss and then fiancé Johnny Depp.

The Great Room features 25-ft high ceilings, a vaulted skylight and a working wood burning fire place. The recently renovatedkitchen is complete with a concealed Subzero refrigerator and full size wine cooler, gas range, convection oven, and finished with high-end Italian cabinets and fixtures. Thedownstairs Suite adds additional space for entertaining or for back of house, while the Loft is a dramatic overlook for a DJ or focal point.
