Dear friends,

I am ecstatic to formally announce my partnership in what I believe is a brilliant new art venture called LOUPE ( I am proud to be working alongside my long-time friend and colleague Dot Bustelo, whom is a global strategist cultivating relationships that bring together artists and technology, formerly on Apple’s Product Marketing team for a decade managing worldwide artist relations.  Dot and I have been diligently working on setting the foundation for this business over the past year, and it's now ready to share with all of you who have helped me build The Kagency over the past 14 years.

Consider how you used to play music in your home before Spotify and Pandora or how you purchased music before iTunes…These companies brought music to your fingertips, introduced you to new musicians, and allowed you to navigate the mood of your home with the touch of a button.  We have taken that same concept, amplified it, and applied it to the world of art… Introducing LOUPE!

Loupe is a visual art streaming service;  it is an online art gallery representing artists from around the world with channels of curated art.  There is also a customizable channel of artwork created by the user, much like a music playlist.

Loupe launched exclusively on Apple TV, charting at #1 Lifestyle App in 25 countries.  It is also available via web-streaming browsers on tablets, computers and smart TVs (  Initial analytics show the average length of a Loupe user session on Apple TV is over two hours --and this is with our soft launch and no real marketing to date.

Loupe's proprietary software allows you to stream art anywhere, helping you to discover new artists, check out the collection at a museum for your upcoming trip, buy fine-art prints and/or originals... all while streaming your current music or accessing our own Spotify curated music by celebrity musicians.

There are numerous ways we can work together and incorporate Loupe- I have outlined a few top line items below on ways that I would love to engage with you:

  • Artwork: If you are an artist or have any artist friends, please send us your work to be vetted by our curators- there is no cost for artists to host work on our platform- more on this below
  • Curate a Channel: If you are involved in the art world and/or have clients that support the arts, consider your own Guest Curated channel or having one of your clients/brands underwrite a channel for a gallery, museum or festival. For example, GALLERY 123 brought to you by BRAND X.
  • Enhance your venue or event: Are you an early adopter looking for a new way to experience art at your event, restaurant, hotel, airport or other public facing venue? If yes, we would love to discuss working on a custom channel for your location that can either be exclusive to your venue or be part of the global streaming galleries.
  • Use the app:  I encourage you to download and stream the app, either on web or the new Apple TV- it is free to use and an incredibly unique background atmosphere enhancer. If you see artwork that you like, you can click through to buy fine-art prints. (Originals will be available for sale in 2017)

Loupe was designed to give visual artists the same opportunity for discovery that musicians have today with global music streaming services. Artists submit artwork for consideration and those selected will be put into a suitable Loupe-curated channel. There is no fee for artists to submit work or to participate in streaming their work on Loupe.

Opportunities to curate your own channel within Loupe are available via the Guest Curated Channels. Art festivals, museums, galleries, and other art world collectors interested in having a channel on Loupe can participate with either a Premium Channel on the Loupe landing page or a Standard Channel on a secondary page. Channels are purchased quarter or annually. All artwork must be approved by Loupe.

Streaming Loupe is a cost-effective solution for memorable décor that adds ambiance, energy and culture to any event. Loupe’s first live activation was SxSw Interactive, ’16. Live Loupe events include: Galas & fundraisers, exclusive product launches, luxury property sales, gallery openings, live music shows and VIP areas of public events. Loupe can be customized for an event, with or without music programmed to complement the mood of the space or event.

Loupe is also a stylish solution for permanent décor in exclusive spaces such as hotels, country clubs, airports and corporate lobbies.  Ideal for both permanent installations and live events, Loupe’s new “Presentation Mode” continually displays the Artist NameTitle of WorkGuest Curator/Sponsor and Loupe logos while a channel is streaming. The Loupe marketplace launched in June 2016 with fine art prints of select artists whose work is streaming in Loupe. Prints are prepared to order in three sizes on Hanhemühle Premium Paper, which was selected for its smooth texture and richer tone rendering.  Our printers provide precise color matching, expert proofing, and state of the art printing techniques.

While the art is streaming on Apple TV, swipe up with your Apple TV remote to purchase directly from your TV. On the web app, click the streaming image to view the price and purchase. The select artwork for sale is also available at

Artists can choose to sell their artwork on a piece-by-piece basis in both the open edition and fine art print offerings as well as original art sales (January 2017)

In December of 2015, LOUPE was launched by Dot Bustelo as a visual art experience, first and foremost as a streaming art gallery. The platform quickly grew to incorporate a marketplace which offered sales of fine art prints, now expanding to original art sales in early 2017.

With expected growth of users to be in the millions by early 2018, Loupe is positioned to be a leader in not only online art sales, but also as an artist discovery tool, added value brand positioning platform as well as a pioneer in the technology world with various  propriety algorithms.
