ON THE RADAR
AMERICAN EXPRESS // 632 BROADWAY

American Express celebrated the 10th annual Small Busines s Saturday® at 632 Broadway with Karlie Kloss and Lin-Manuel Miranda. It’s been 10 years since the launch of “Small Business Saturday,” the holiday created by American Express during the Great Recession to drive awareness of small brick-and-mortar stores and their communities, especially around the holiday season. American Express hosted the two-weekend activation called “The Big Future of Shopping Small,” to showcase the future of retail with technologies like artificial intelligence, artificial reality, biometrics and zero-footprint manufacturing methods. The company celebrated with entrepreneurial stars, panel discussions and activations open to the public. Check out Adage's dynamic coverage.

KOHL'S // 632 BROADWAY

Kohl's hosted a "New Gifts at Every Turn" immersive holiday window shopping experience at 632 Broadway. Including its top signature brands like JW Jason Wu, Elizabeth & James, Lauren Conrad and Vera Wang. The pop-up launched with a VIP reception for executive leaders, media and influencers who were given a sneak peek at the Windows Holiday Experience. For those unable to physically attend, a portal lens developed by Snapchat, in collaboration with Kohl's and BMF Media, replicated a virtual experience in 3D, allowing users to step inside each custom vignette to become part of the experience and shop the featured products. Celebrity attendees included, Vera Wang, Emma Thompson and Lea Michele, to name a few.

CHOBANI // 163 MERCER
Chobani launched its new Creamer + Oat Milk products with a pop-up coffee shop and urban lounge at 163 Mercer in SoHo. Design studio, DE-YAN, spearheaded the production using vinyls galore on both the interior and exterior, transforming the whitebox venue. The 2,100 SF main floor storefront was the ideal layout for this comfy, spacious café where guests could relax on Casper airy mattresses while sipping on their Creamer + Oat Milk infused coffees from the featured La Colombe coffee bar.

STEREOPHONIC'S BEAT KEEPER TAKES TO THE DECKS

As the founder of the chart-topping band, Noisettes (best known for the number one hit, Never Forget You in 2009), Jamie Morrison has toured globally with Pharrell Williams, Beastie Boys, MIA, Muse, as well as other major artists. By 2012 when Kelly Jones of Stereophonics asked Morrison to join the band, both groups had embraced a lot of great tunes. Most recently, Stereophonics' 11th album KIND (October 2019) went straight to number one, beating out Kanye West, to the top spot and fast becoming the 2nd biggest selling album of the year. It also minted the band's 7th number one album.

As life often comes full circle, Jamie’s first ever band as a teenager was a Stereophonics cover band. So it’s no surprise that the man in charge of keeping the beats has taken to the turntables. As for next steps, be on the lookout for Jamie’s first Podcast series, with guests Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Ronnie V (The Killers), Woody (David Bowie), and Dame Evelyn Glennie. If you ask what style music Jamie DJs his answer is simply… I AM A CROWD PLEASER!
