Opening Ceremony | Financial District

Opening Ceremony hosted their SS16 Runway Show at an epic raw space in the Financial District that our friends at Dizon Inc. transformed to a lush garden setting. Both the show and collection were inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and paid homage to his life, work and design philosophy. Opening Ceremony made it a show to remember, by adding dancers from the New York City Ballet interpersed throughout the model line up. The ballerinas took intentional spills along the runway, then fluidly transformed their falls into beautiful dance sequences.

The show commanded the audience's attention with beautiful fashion and groundbreaking artistic elements. The colossal venue effortlessly accommodated the large audience, the dramatic arches and lush staging. We would like to think Frank Lloyd Wright would have felt right at home at this architecturally exquisite show.

NBA LIVE 16 | Terminal 23

EA Sports launched their NBA LIVE 16 video game for Playstation 4 and Box One this week at Cafe Rouge, or shall we say Terminal 23 - the better known moniker popularized by long-term client Nike. In this game release, player's can select Terminal 23 as their home court and enjoy the musical stylings of Kagency Talent MICK, who curated the game's 22-song soundtrack. A-Listers attending the party, produced by our comrades at Team Epiphany, sipped on cocktails hosted by Avion Tequila and Heineken. The evening popped with a live performance by none other than Jadakiss

Hood By Air | Penn Plaza Pavilion

Class was in session, as Hood By Air schooled the fashion set at their SS16 Galvanize Collection at Penn Plaza Pavilion. The androgynous models and deconstructed looks were a breath of fresh air and in sharp constrast to the show's theme, 'high school dentention'. New York Magazine said it best, "This was a much more free-form, explosive statement, done by people who have their own vision for a sort of anti-fashion that’s sourced from the street rather than the history of luxury labels." Congrats Shayne!

Mad Marj | Opening of IMG Headquarters

DJ Mad Marj started New York Fashion Week off with a bang, spinning at the opening of IMG Headquarters with artist Blaine Halvorson of Madeworn. The opening included a 500 SF art installation entitled "Walk, Don't Run." The installation featured Halvorson on display, slowly crafting his shoes, that were available for purchase by onlookers. Blaine is famous for creating worlds within rooms, and who better to add to the ambiance than our own fashionista DJ Mad Marj!

Elle Dee | W Magazine & Jil Sander

Elle Dee kicked off her week with W Magazine celebrating the conclusion of #WmagModelSearch and the crowning of new It Girl, Alexis Primous, discovered through the magazine's collaboration with IMG Models and Instagram.

Elle was in good company at the star-studded event at One World Trade Center. The event drew an A-List crowd, including Naomi Campbell, Mariah Carey and Leonardo DiCaprio to name a few. Everyone danced the night away under the spell of Elle's enchanting beats.

Elle also performed this week for Jil Sander in collaboration with Vogue. The event was held at the Jil Sander boutique in SoHo and offered guests the chance to view a one-of-a-kind bag created by famed tattoo artist Anna Neudeck. Guests sipped champagne and enjoyed beats by Elle. The evening was a benefit to raise funds for the Park Avenue Armory
