Welcome!
to the latest edition of our monthly e-bulletin.
I'm Lucy Fountain, the Transport Coordinator at CVS. Part of my role involves recruiting new volunteer drivers and liaising with them over trips for the service. My background is as a trainer and I run MiDAS (minibus driver awareness scheme) courses for volunteer drivers across the District. I'm also a Dementia Champion and facilitate Dementia Information sessions for people wanting to become Dementia Friends.

Enjoy driving? Like helping others? We need YOU!
We're looking for new Volunteer Drivers across the Newark & Sherwood District for two schemes; one where drivers take patients to medical appointments and the other (Door2Door) is a social car service, taking people to day centres, clubs, shopping or to visit friends.
Our volunteers find it incredibly rewarding and do a brilliant job, helping those who use the service to remain independent.
If you have your own car and would like to help your community, please get in touch with me on 01636 611220 or Katie Freeman on 01636 610773. You can also email us to find out more.
Drivers receive a mileage allowance of 43p/ mile.
