The County Teachers team are delighted to be back after the Summer Break. We hope everybody enjoyed their time off, and ready to get back into all of the hard work the Autumn Term brings. Despite it being the Summer, we were all kept incredibly busy by the organisation of our first ever Safeguarding Children in Education Event, which took place on Wednesday 24th August held at the Business and Technology Centre.
For those that weren’t lucky enough to join us on the day, we held the event in association with RACS Group in order to give the professionals working with us, the opportunity to attend a day course in Safeguarding Children in Education. Typically, this did fall on the hottest day of the Summer, but nobody was deterred with a very impressive 90 people present.
Joining us for the entire day, everyone was provided with refreshments throughout, starting off with a tasty breakfast of fresh pastries, fruit and biscuits. Tea, coffee and soft drinks were on hand throughout the day and a full buffet lunch was provided. Afternoon break consisted of treats such as doughnuts and cookies, along with a final cup of tea before the last section of the course was completed. Regular breaks ensured that everybody remained focused and interested, keeping momentum up throughout the day.
We were all incredibly pleased with how the day progressed, with positive feedback being given througthehout and by many who stayed after the course had finished, to ensure they were able to thank the entire team. Since, we have received further feedback via email, as seen below:
“I just wanted to thank you and your team for such a successful training day yesterday on Safeguarding. I was very impressed by the considerate team of staff on site and how well we were all provided for. The training was full and informative.” Arati Reddy-Devlin
The event was such a success that there are plans for another to be held during the February half term break. The course is yet to be decided, so we would love to hear from you regarding the content If you are a teacher, what course do you feel will benefit you? Or, if you are a client school, what would skills would you like to see the staff coming into your school developing? Any ideas would be most welcome!!
