Open Registration for EuroMarine's Collaborative Session towards the UN Decade of Ocean Science

On January 27th the EuroMarine General Assembly will be holding a brainstorming event to discuss the science we need for the ocean we want. The results of this discussion will serve to align the EuroMarine science programme in order to contribute directly to the UN Decade of Ocean Science.

This highly-participative event will be opened with a keynote presentation from the Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and Assistant Director General of UNESCO, Dr Vladimir Ryabinin. The agenda will include the presentation of initial ideas collected from EuroMarine Member Organisations followed by focussed discussions on these ideas in breakout working groups to collaborate on the new science plan for EuroMarine.

The Steering Committee cordially invites any and all newsletter recipients to participate in this session and help EuroMarine contribute in the best way possible towards developing the science we need for the ocean we want.

Please click on the link below to register for this event; a link to the meeting will be sent closer to the date. In the unlikely event that the number of registrants exceeds technical capacity, priority will be given to EuroMarine members, followed by order of registration.

Non-GA representatives or substitutes should only select Day 2 (Science Session) on the registration form.

Deadline for registration: 24 January 2021.
