The WSIA Weekly
3.27.20

Just two quick announcements this week:

Department releases self-insurance specific COVID-19 guidance

As you may have seen on Wednesday, the Department released its latest guidance for self-insured claims handling related to COVID-19 issues. This was in response to questions we raised after the Department's initial policy statement related to coverage for health care workers and first responders. Even this new FAQ is raising additional questions, and we're seeking clarifications. We haven't found the FAQ on the Department's website, so it's mirrored on our site right here

Stay tuned for announcement on Annual Conference next week
Although we've delayed an official announcement while we finalize some details, it's beyond clear that for the first time in our 49 year history, WSIA will not be able to have an Annual Conference in person this year. But now more than ever we refuse to back away from our mission to serve our members' need for news, support, and connectivity -- and some normalcy. So this year's Annual Conference is going online for one full day, May 7th, with a new and outstanding line-up of national and local voices covering what you want and need to know in uncertain times. Stay tuned for the program announcement early next week.

Stay safe and healthy out there --
