Cafe Culture, 7.30pm, Wednesday July 4th @ Hetties, Skipton
Following the success of last season's events, Skipton Building Society Camerata and Hetties Bistro are collaborating again on a new series of Café Culture Concerts. Café Culture is a series of four chamber concerts with dinner and a talk. This year the series will explore the work of Claude Debussy, one of music's most innovative composers, in this the centenary of his death.
For each event guests will receive a glass of prosecco on arrival before listening to an illustrated talk on the evening's music. Following a starter, served at your table, the first of the evening's work will be performed before the main course is served. The night will conclude with the performance of the final works.
This second performance of the series features Mezzo Hannah Mason singing Debussy's Beau Soir, Trois melodies and Les angelus as well as music by Brahms, Faure and Elgar. She will be accompanied by Chris Pulleyn who will also play Debussy's solo piano masterpiece Clair de Lune.
