What’s happening across the country?
Our regional groups have exciting plans in place this year. The BC/Yukon region have met informally this fall – mostly to commemorate Donna Reimer’s upcoming retirement. They are planning a more formal meeting for February 2015. CACE Ontario will be meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2015 in downtown Toronto. The morning will be networking and presentations; the afternoon will feature the Deputy Minister George Zagarac and Communications Director Murray Leaning, from the Ontario Ministry of Education. The Atlantic Regional group are busy helping Conference Chair Trish Smith to organize the Charlottetown conference. The Alberta, NWT, and Nunavut group had a small group session this fall around shooting and editing video. They are looking at ways to connect with each other to access regular PD and plan to meet together in the spring.
Mark your calendars for October 17 to 20 and plan to come to Charlottetown, PEI for “Sharing Your Stories” at the Delta Charlottetown. Come-early-stay-late pricing is in place with the hotel so plan to stay for a few days before and/or after the conference to enjoy this beautiful, unique part of our country. Be sure to “like” the CACE Facebook page (CACE-ACACE) and watch for information coming about PEI, Charlottetown, and the conference.
