Board Chair Letter   |   Support   |   Concert Video
Dear Indianapolis Women's Chorus Community,
We are sending our good thoughts to you and your families in this continuing time of uncertainty.
First, we would like to thank all of our corporate and individual donors for the 2019-2020 season. This is obviously not the situation any of us thought we would find ourselves in as we were supposed to be prepping for our next concert. Without your support, we would be in an even more precarious situation. Luckily, we do not yet have to worry about that. Thank you for getting us to that position.
Second, we are excited to share some of our music with you digitally! Our team has been working to get videos and other media ready to share while our chorus members have been rehearsing and recording themselves to create moments for you to pause and enjoy. As you watch and listen to these songs that mean a lot to us, please consider making a gift to an organization in your community that is serving at the front lines of this crisis.
IWC is currently in a solid financial position to weather this storm in the immediate term, thanks to support from our sponsors and donors as well as a modest savings account we've created in anticipation of rainy days like these. So for now, while we can, we'd like to turn the focus on to organizations who are serving our neighbors and friends who could desperately use your help. If you need a suggestion, we've provided a few below.
This is a moment for us to focus on the social justice part of our mission and strengthen the community that supports us in the good times.
I sincerely hope you are able to take a deep breath and let some of our chorus-from-home projects recharge your musical spirit.
Take good care,
Cortnee Yarbrough
Board Chair of IWC
