HRI prepares to act as Hurricane Matthew approaches Haiti

Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 storm, is due to hit Haiti Monday night and continue into Tuesday.  Sustained winds of 155 mph and up to 40 inches of rain in some areas will result in “life-threatening” conditions in portions of Haiti.

Government officials are urging inhabitants to heed all evacuation and preparation orders. However, due to the lasting ruin following the 2010 earthquake, many people are unable to prepare in any sufficient fashion.

HRI is prepared to help our partners and those in need in the wake of this devastating storm. The greatest needs will be shelter, clean water, personal hygiene kits, blankets, and food.

This is an urgent situation! Please help HRI to provide these essentials to those in desperate need with your donations.

Thank you for your help and continued support in this time of emergency.
