IABC ASIA-PACIFIC REGION
END OF YEAR UPDATE
Dear <<First Name>>,
It’s been another big year for IABC in the Asia-Pacific region. A few highlights include that we:
welcomed Western Australia as a new development chapter
held our second Fusion conference
grew our membership across the region
provided scholarships to 8 members to attend leadership institutes and conferences
had seven members achieve SCMP certification.
What were your IABC highlights for 2018? We’d love you to share them with us.
As we look to 2019 we will continue to work with our chapters to advance the profession, create connection and develop strategic communicators. Providing unique regional content through our webinar program and annual Fusion conference will be key. We’re also committed to building best practice and industry recognition by supporting and encouraging participation in the annual Chapter Management Awards and Gold Quill Awards, as well as the Global Communication Certification Council program.
One of the greatest benefits of IABC membership is being able to learn from others and share our own experience and expertise. We’ll be supporting our senior professionals across APAC to do more of this across all available channels, like CW Magazine, World Conference and the Leadership Institute.
Finally, we will continue the work we started this year in helping our chapters connect, share ideas and events, and troubleshoot.
Meeting members’ needs
It’s vital that we offer professional development (PD) that meets your needs. Our webinar program is an important part of the PD offering so we’d like to hear from you about the types of webinars you would find valuable. Please complete the very short survey by clicking here. Your feedback will inform our program for 2019.
IABC APAC is the great, fun, resourceful, resilient community it is because of you. Thank you for joining us this year. We hope you are getting involved in The Hub, webinars and conferences, or making use of the extensive library of resources, extracting all the value you can from your membership.
An extra special ‘thank you’ to all of our volunteers – you do an amazing job creating and building our chapters which are the heart and soul of our organisation.
We wish you all a happy and safe festive season, and a wonderful new year.
Let’s stay connected
