Member of the Month Awards

Member of the Month is awarded to club members that have made significant improvements in their running, that have represented the club or exceeded personal running goals, or have selflessly contributed to the club by volunteering their time for the benefit of others. 

Training Tuesday 5th July - Wyvern Track

The Ageas Bowl is hosting an England Cricket International on Tuesday 5th July, so the normal Intervals Training session has been moved to the Wyvern Track in Fair Oak.  Start time normal time of 7PM.

Hampshire Road Race League Dates

The dates for the remaining 2016/17 Hampshire Road Race League Events are as follows:

Wyvern 10K

The Wyvern 10K race which the club help to organise is now sold out with over 650 entries. Any additional marshals/supporters will always be welcome to assist on the day.  Please get in contact with Richard Allen or via the Facebook post asking for marshals.

Winter Cross Country Leagues

The club have entered the Southern Cross League, (SXCL) the CC6 cross country league and the Hampshire cross country league which will take place through next winter.  Further details to come in the coming weeks.  We are looking for a couple of members to be the focal points for the SXCL and the CC6's league events, please drop an email to if you are able to help.


The club pentathlon is coming to an end for this year so please get racing and enter your race results on the following page:
If you haven't heard of the pentathlon before it is a fun competition run within the club, whereby you gain points based on your best times across 6 different distances you race in over the year, full details can be found here:

Yoga classes

Flow Yoga classes are held every Tuesday after trainng in the Club House starting (promptly) at 8.15pm. This is now managed directly by Candice. To book your place in the class, email   The classes are £4 per session - this is payable to Candice. 

Wednesday = Wyvern Track Night!

Wednesday night track nights are attracting a dedicated group of Hedgies for the floodlit sessions. We have exclusive use of the track at Wyvern College in Fair Oak from 8.00pm to 9.00pm with different drills each week through the winter and alternative nights to the RR10 races through the summer, see list below. 

These sessions are open to everyone in the club at no additional charge. All abilities are catered for and there's a great buzz and camaraderie amongst the participants.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday = Southampton Track

The club have now paid an annual subscription for use of the running track at Southampton. Click here for centre details

Along with other local running clubs, Hedge End Running Club members can train on the Southampton track on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4.00pm to 9.00pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00am to 1.00pm. There is no charge for us to use the track at these times. Outside of these times, the normal £3.20 charge will apply. 

As this is shared usage, please follow track etiquette guidelines.

The next beginners course starts in August.  More information is available on the Eastleigh Council Website.

Feedback to the Committee

The club is 'supervised' by a group of like minded individuals who form the committee, but you all as members have an equal voice in providing suggestions for changing the way we do things, providing new ideas and giving your time for making things happen within the club.  The club is evolving all the time and we need as many people providing input as possible to keep the club as interesting and relevant for the membership.  If you have any ideas for what you would like the club to do or change please can you drop an email explaining to
