To all BW parents:

As BW responds to the challenges facing us all due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), please know that you as well as your children are top of mind. While the student experience for the remainder of this semester will be unlike anything any of us might have imagined, it is important that we continue to keep your student engaged in their BW experience in as many ways as possible. Course instruction is underway remotely and is the primary activity to keep your student moving forward in their academic program. In addition to remote instruction, faculty will continue to advise students for fall class registration, another important way to keep moving forward!
Student life connections are also happening virtually; Residence Hall room draw for fall is proceeding as planned and will help build excitement for your student’s return to campus. Your student can maintain momentum by working on their career development plans by contacting Career Services to schedule a virtual advising appointment and signing up in Handshake and Wisr; two online career development tools available to all BW students.
We miss your student; they are vital to the energy on campus. Student Life leaders have been working creatively, and your student should be seeing some really novel and fun ideas to help keep us all connected in the next few days.
The operations of the university continue, our offices are open, albeit by email or phone. President Helmer began a video Q & A series, Campus Conversation, this past weekend and will continue similar updates on a regular basis, look for those in email and on BW's YouTube channel. Additionally, the university website is being kept current with changes in services and coronavirus related updates.
As university staff, we are working diligently to provide you and your student the same quality personalized attention that makes the BW experience so great. Together, we will get through this and emerge a stronger BW community! Thank you for your commitment to the university and to your student’s continued progress as a Yellow Jacket!
