What a huge month September was. Thank you so much to everyone who supported HomeSweet2019 as either a sleepee, sponor, donor or volunteer – your work made the event successful raising $181,914 and still rising! All 3 beneficiaries will do great things with this money for those who need it most.

  • The Burdekin Association with a focus on youth homelessness,
  • Women’s Community Shelters with a focus on women’s homelessness and domestic violence and the,
  • Link Housing tenant scholarship program with a focus on education and training opportunities.

The Seaforth Arts Festival has been going a number of years now and took place on the very same weekend. The proceeds have always gone to Burdekin alone and we are so grateful to all involved.

HomeSweet2019: We had the wonderful Ambassador and MC for the night Jay Lenton join us. Our team raised over $8,200 and we had the most individual donors of all sleepees - your support is extraordinary and we are forever thank you! Read more about the event here.
Peninsula Pals Melbourne Cup: It is not very long at all now until the Melbourne Cup Day luncheon hosted by Peninsula Pals and Kerryn Baird at the Novotel Manly. The day includes a 3 course dinner, competitions and prizes for the benefit of four amazing charities - Burdekin, Sunnyfield, BeCentre and Lighthouse. For more information and to register head here. The day will not disappoint so please come along and support.
It's in the bag drive: Every year the amazing team over at Share the Dignity run a Christmas drive called "It's in the bag", they ask for donations of bags and contents - such as essential items and some treats and then they distribute or 'gift' these bags to those who might otherwise go without. Seaforth Art Show and Sale: Each year for many years we have been very generously supported by the organisers, participants, attendees and buyers of the Seaforth Art Show. We hope many of you were able to attend and thank everyone for your support once again!
