Such events spur us on even more in our drive to create positive change...to help and support young people each and every day. The Avalon Youth Hub forms a large part of this work in addition to running our own houses and ensuring our young people are able to reach their full potential.
Part of our work is awareness and fundraising, as you know. Once a year we review our work and report on our achievements at our AGM. We would like to invite you to come along, see invitation below.
We also have the Seaforth Arts Festival coming up where Burdekin are the very lucky beneficiaries, Seaforth Arts Festival have been supporting us for a number of years and we would love for you to come and check out any of the events - opening night, gala dinner or just come down and have a look at the work by our amazing local pool of talent.
Most of you will be aware by now that Warren Welsh won the Westfields' local hero award! We are so proud of him. All the while Justene and Tanya joined Kellie at the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles awards night, we feel so privileged to be in partnership with the Sea Eagles and our young people are reaping the benefits!
Our CEO Justene Gordon was recently recognised for her hard work with the NSW Government's 2018 Pittwater Community Service award recognising outstanding voluntary service to our local community. Photos of the event below and on facebook.
We also have the Peninsula Pals Melbourne Cup luncheon coming along at the beginning of November - mark the date in your diary!
