Just Schools Project Events: Restorative practices and racial justice
I look forward to seeing some of you at the upcoming restorative practices workshops at the Collaborative for Educational Services in Northampton, MA. The Introduction to Restorative Practices in Schools training on August 3 & 4 is already at capacity!
If you would like an introductory restorative practices in schools training but were not able to register for the CES workshop, please feel free to contact Just Schools Project to schedule an event for you and your school.
There are still slots available, however, for the Restorative Practices Strategy Session on August 6. This half-day workshop is for people working in schools (Grades 6-12) already using restorative practices, who want to build more skills and strategize with other educators. Please join us!
As I know many of us are thinking about the racist violence in Charleston, SC and throughout the US, I am encouraged to find ways to connect restorative justice work with racial justice, ending mass incarceration, and other movements for liberation throughout the US and world. Please check out the events and resources below for some ideas about how to explore those connections with your friends, students, community members, and colleagues.
