It has been an amazing journey and that has seen us;
•Engage with over 2,200 people –over 20% of our population
•Have participants from as far away as Lameroo, Ceduna and even Sydney
•Enable Muslim women as old as 60 to swim for the very first time
•Teach Afghani men how to ride a bicycle
•Support over 1,300 locals to achieve 10,000 steps per day – people still tap there hip when we see them on the streets, to show us that they are still wearing their pedometer.
This Award just gives us even more motivation to continue working with our community as we strive to build a healthier, more sustainable community. If you would like to see the award for yourself, it can be viewed at the Renmark Paringa Community and Civic Centre.
