RENMARK PARINGA COUNCIL UPDATE
Renmark - Experience it! is Renmark Paringa Council's latest promotional video and showcases all that our Region has to offer. To date it has been viewed more than 40,000 times and has been shared over 5,000 times around the world!!!!
The video was launched on April 1 2016 to coincide with the delegation, led by the South Australian Government, to the Shandong Province in China during which Mayor Neil Martinson represented Renmark Paringa Council.

Shandong has been South Australia’s sister city for about 30 years, it has a population of almost 100 million people with a Gross Domestic Product or “GDP” value of close to US$1 trillion in 2014.

The missions aim is to highlight the products and services that South Australia (and, of course, the Riverland) has to offer and to build connections with possible trading and investing partners in Shandong.

Renmark Paringa Council will continue to work with our local industries to assist in showcasing the quality produce and services available in the Riverland and, with the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, the timing has never been better to become China export ready.

COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELL BEING
Council will be celebrating History Month with a display at the Renmark Paringa Community and Civic Centre. The display is titled “Renmark Paringa Lyrup – Through the Years” and will include a variety of history pieces from community groups, local businesses and individuals relevant to the Renmark Paringa Council district over the years. Council also have a collection of pieces that will make up part of the display. We encourage the community to come in and take a step back in time to see what our district was like in years gone by.
The display will be open to the public throughout May, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm.
Black Screen
Renmark Paringa Council are proud to be working in partnership with Country Arts SA - Chaffey Theatre again this year to bring to the community 'Black Screen', which features short films by local Indigenous community members and family films from the National Film and Sound Archive. Update from the Chaffey Community Centre!
Justice of the Peace Services in Renmark
Renmark Paringa Council is pleased to support “Justice of the Peace” services to residents of the district.

The service will be available at the Chaffey Community Centre on May 3, June 7, and Renmark Paringa Library on May 17, June 21 between 12pm and 2pm.

Justices of the Peace are certified to act as an independent and objective witness for various documents for official or legal purposes. They volunteer their services to provide an integral link in the judicial system.
For example, a JP may:

  • witness an affidavit for use in court
  • witness a statutory declaration
  • certify a true copy of an original document
  • certify a person’s identity
Clients are to have all original documents and any copies that are required.  There is no appointment required to access the JP service and a photocopying service is available at both sites for a small fee.

For further information contact, Chaffey Community Centre on 8586 5745 or the Renmark Paringa Library on 8586 5544.
