December - Finishing up and starting the production
A new year has started! With the 1st monday of 2017, a new URE newsletter! In December the outer layer of the monocoque was laminated and the first part of the core has been inserted. Next to this a lot of part production was done and the design of the car is almost final!
Beele Engineering, a partner in innovation
We would like to welcome a new Partner to the URE family: Beele Engineering B.V.
URE and Beele Engineering share the same dreams of technological innovation, teamwork and a passion for engineering. Where we set the tone on terms of automotive engineering, Beele Engineering is leading in security in consequence of water and fire damage.

By sharing engineering expertise, the drive to innovate and explore the limits of technology, we hope to create a fruitfull collaboration. Research and Development is a shared focus, seen in Beele Engineering's Sealing Valley and our own work on a prototype Electric Racecar.
Control Testing
In order to optimize the handling behavior of the URE12, the vehicle control software is of vital importance. A new control algorithm referred to as “Velocity Vectoring” is being developed as a graduation thesis by Martijn van der Drift (Dynamics and Control Group), which allows us to merge systems like torque vectoring, traction control and ABS into a single effective driver aiding algorithm. The initial tests using velocity vectoring on the URE11 vehicle have brought promising results. The control algorithm is currently undergoing further optimization to ensure that it will aid our drivers as best as possible while achieving unrivalled vehicle performance. Chassis Manufacturing
During the holidays manufacturing of the monocoque has continued. An impression!
Here you see our chassis manager carefully laminating the first layer of the monocoque. A very precise job!
During the holidays, Prodrive Technologies let us use one of their warehouses to continue our work on the chassis while the TU/e was closed. Many Thanks!
Apollo back to Vredestein
This year we continue our cooperation on the development of our tires , for the 8th year already! We started off under Vredestein in the URE05E year with the development of 15 inch tires. In the URE08 year, we switched to 10 inch tires under the name of Apollo. And now, after 4 years the cooperation will yet again be continued under Vredestein!

We are really thankful for the long-lasting cooperation and look forward to continue improving our already incredible tires to rock the road!
Infratech 2017
On the 17th and 18th of January we will be on the Smart Mobility Square at the Infratech fair at Ahoy Rotterdam. This fair is all about the future of infrastructure. URE is there to display the future of mobility and to inspire the future mobility infrastructure to adjust to electric driving. The video below will give an insight in the event!
The cover of VNSG Magazine!
URE is on the cover of the december edition of VNSG magazine! This issue contains an article about our collaboration with McCoy and partners building a dashboard using SAP HANA  to visualize the 400 datapoints per second generated by our sensors. Read the article here.
Motor Resolvers by LTN
LTN Servotechnik GmbH is a German SME specialised to provide components to the international machine builders and plant engineering industry. The worldwide network of sales and service offices is the backbone of the traditionally oriented company’s global activities. Two weeks ago the  LTN resolvers for our electric machines were received! They help us measure the motorspeed used for control and data analysation.
Production Continues!
While the design of the last parts of the URE12 is almost finished, the early parts keep coming in! Below, the first parts of the suspension and some parts of the motortestbench, which is being build at the EPE lab. The motortestbench will be used to analyse the electric machines made in collaboration with AE-group.
