Northwest Pennsylvania is not rusty.  We are bright. We are forward thinking collaborative.

#ErieBright

"The Innovation Collaborative is a lynchpin organization for entrepreneurs in NW PA. No matter who it is or what their idea looks like, the IC is always making meaningful connections and introductions to help turn ideas into companies."
- Brian Slawin, Regional Director & Portfolio Manager at Ben Franklin Technology Partners

Having perseverance and grit, and not being afraid to fail is the cornerstone of American progress.

Discovering Opportunities.

Most recognize intuitively that, as a community, Erie needs to pursue new opportunities.

A core principle of the Innovation Collaborative is that entrepreneurial thoughts and actions are vital to our region’s progress.

The Ice House program teaches us how to think with an entrepreneurial mindset and was developed in partnership with the Kauffman Foundation, one of the world’s foremost thought leaders on entrepreneurship.

An entrepreneurial mindset is a tool that empowers the lives of individuals of all ages, walks of life, and professions. It is a tool that teaches us that we are not casualties of our current circumstances. We are empowered to see challenges as opportunities and to understand that we, alone, are responsible for becoming valuable to the world around us.

Creating our collective entrepreneurial mindset is key to creating a vibrant culture in northwest PA. All of us here are responsible for seeing our region’s challenges as opportunities and figuring out how to become valuable.
