GROW LIGHTLY BOOK CLUB
OUR BOOK CLUB has been going for over a year and a warm friendly group has grown. But we are by no means full. We can still welcome new people who would like to join in a discussion of books. What usually happens is that some lovely people come and share their books, and thus a bit of themselves, with us. After our inaugural meeting we decided to continue meeting monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.00 pm. And all are warmly welcome.
The books range widely in topic but all were so interesting and all prompted discussion. In 2019 we have added a feature to our book club in that a small part of each meeting is dedicated to the reading and discussion of a book by David Holmgren called Retrosuburbia. Anyone interested in this topic is warmly invited to come a share in the fun.
The next meeting is Tuesday February 5 at 7 pm. Come to Grow Lightly Hub and meet like minded people for a lively and refreshing discussion. The book club is always on the first Tuesday of the month, every month (except January 2019). It will be friendly and informal and we hope you will leave nourished and inspired. Bring a favourite book on farming, food, gardening, sustainability, environment, or anything really, to share briefly why you enjoyed it, what you learned, how it has impacted aspects of your life. There will be no pressure to speak and you are welcome to just come to listen. If you have a copy of Retrosuburbia by David Holmgren please bring it. If you don't have one there is one you can borrow. Or it is available from the Korumburra Library.
7.00 pm Venue: the food hub at 12A Silkstone Rd, Korumburra. Please park in Coal Creek Carpark.
