STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY
MY COMMITMENTS TO ANTIRACISM

Time for a little catching up.

UPDATES

It's been a while since I sent out an update. I've been living a very full life. One I'm grateful for. Here are some of the projects and ventures that have my attention.

In October of 2019, I signed on to redesign and develop Space for Humanity, a nonprofit "cultivating a movement to expand access to space for all of humanity".

In January 2020, I signed onto the team as an official team member.

Yesterday, we released our official Statement of Solidarity with the Black community. This is the single largest platform I've ever had to broadest a message for racial equality.

I invite you to read the full statement.

Working with Space for Humanity is the most important and impacting initiative I've ever been part of. I am full of gratitude for having this tremendous opportunity and platform.

I'm continuing to represent and collaborate with author and space philosopher, Frank White, a long time hero of mine. I also serve as the Strategist for his up and coming Human Space Program

I'm now involved with four major space agencies, and continuing to develop identities for other influencers I believe in.

This is the most fulfilling moment of my life. I've worked hard to get here, and I'm so grateful.

More On Racism
Today is Juneteenth, the celebration of the abolishment of slavery in 1865. It's a time to listen, to learn, to empathize, to feel the pain and joy of black lives. It's a time to lean in.

2020 marks my 25th year as a human rights activist. My life has been dedicated to cultivating racial, gender, and indigenous equality. It's who I am. I am grateful for that and for the journey that got me here.

I wrote two articles on Medium to articulate my thoughts on Racism and White Privilege in America.

What to do with White Privilege
RACISM: A National Priority

I've been uploading IGTV videos on Instagram regularly for a while now. Please feel free to join the conversation there. Visit my IGTV channel HERE.

I also made an Antiracism YouTube Playlist of a lot of the films that have educated and inspired me to be an effective Antiracist.

I believe we must all choose to be active antiracists. Anything less continues to prop up the stronghold of racism in the United States.

Racism isn't just for people that hate other races. It's for anyone that doesn't believe it's a problem that deserves our full attention to dismantling.

I mapped out a lot of resources in the links above for you to dive in and learn and be inspired to be an effective antiracist.

We have had one attempt at racial equality after another in the United States. Let's make this one our last.

It's time for our country to become something it has never been; united

This is what I'm working towards, and what I believe is possible. This is why I am an antiracist.

I BELIEVE WE CAN FOSTER A CULTURE THAT ENSURES EQUAL RIGHTS AND SOCIAL VALUE, THAT CELEBRATES OUR UNIQUENESS AND PRIORITIZES OUR UNITY.

I BELIEVE OUR PURPOSE IS TO CHOOSE LOVE OVER ALL THAT MIGHT STAND AGAINST IT.

Most sincerely,
Jared Angaza

"I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action…"
