"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open."   Jawaharlal Nehru

This month has marked some pretty amazing experiences for me. Not only did I get one book closer to my goal of owning a full set of Lonely Planet books with places I’ve travelled to, I got to have some serious fun!

Visiting Alaska rocked my world, and it wasn’t only because of the earthquake I experienced. I got to go sea kayaking past icebergs, climb glaciers, face my fear of heights, take in mind-blowing landscapes and I met some remarkable new friends along the way.

It’s hard to believe that at one point in my life I didn’t think this kind of fun and adventure would even be possible for me. I was so work focused and career driven it almost drove me into the ground. But one day, thankfully, I woke up and realised how much of life I was missing out on. I don’t want you to have to get to that same point before you too realise that life is there to be lived.

So this issue is all about finding yourself – your adventurous self. Life’s too short not to have fun and there are some amazing experiences out there waiting for you, all you need to do is reach for them.

It can be so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to go out and live it. Can you remember the last time you planned something adventurous, challenging or exciting?

In case you need a little help to reconnect with your fun and adventurous side and get your blood pumping for all the right reasons, here are five tips to help you reconnect with your adventurous self. Read more…

Overcoming Fear

What’s stopping you from creating the life of your dreams or becoming everything you wanted to become? Are you afraid of failure or success? For a lot of people it’s both. Fear of the unknown is a normal part of life but one that we should learn to leverage to our advantage rather than allowing it to stand in our way.
To help you overcome fear, here are my top five tips:
1. Change your perspective - see your challenges as opportunities not burdens
2. Take smaller risks to your build confidence
3. Believe in yourself not your doubt
4. Choose to live by your rules
5. Realise that fear is not the worst feeling, regret is. Take a deep breath and go!
